In a jointly-funded project between local county government and Chesapeake Exploration, a private firm was paid to scan the documents and incorporate them into the state loan county commissioner’s electronic records management system, which they were also paid to install and maintain.
Now, it seems, all of the documents may need to be rescanned.
According to Columbiana County Recorder Theresa Bosel, “They cannot be used by the public, the CDs are virtually useless and we will have to have them all rescanned if in fact the case is that they are all this way.”
