Recently, we published an eBizDocs Success Story featuring Capital Reigon trusted eye care source, DiNapoli Opticians. One of the most crucial components to their document management success was the Batch feature of our eBizCloud© paperless office document management software.
First, allow us to give you a brief overview of exactly what the eBizCloud© Batch feature is and does. Batch is a scanning application embedded in the eBizCloud© Cabinet SAFE software. It allows users to either individually or jointly scan and file large volumes of documents. Batch also employs an assisted optical content recognition (OCR) indexing feature to automate filing, which significantly reduces data entry during the filing process.
For our November FAQ Spotlight, we’re going to get granular with an eBizCloud© Batch feature:
How to set up the Document Load Template in Batch.
1. Login to eBizCloud©/Cabinet SAFE and navigate to Batch.
2. Select the Options menu from the Batch toolbar. The Batch Options window will appear.
3. Select the Load tab to enter the Batch Load Template area.
4. Click Add to launch the Template Creation window.
5. Configure the following settings to successfully create a Batch Load Template:
5a. Provide a name for the template.
5b. Type or Browse to the location where Batch will load documents for filing.
5c. Provide the number of documents to load.
5d. Define the file types/formats to load.
5e. Select how Batch will handle multipage documents.
5f. Select whether Batch will convert TIFs to PDFs upon load.
5g. Click Create to save the template.
Ta-da! That’s all there is to it. We do want to note, however, that Batch Load Templates are user-specific, and therefore, must be configured for each user.
