The Joslin Awards Program was established by the NYS Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) Board of Directors. The program recognizes outstanding job performance and personal success by people with disabilities who are employed on NYSID Preferred Source contracts (which includes eBizDocs).
Criteria for selection for this prestigious honor include:
- Outstanding job performance on a minimum of 12 months on NYSID contracts
- Success through employment, including skills acquisition and new assignments
- Personal success such as role modeling and community involvement
- Personification of NYSID’s people-centered mission: “Turning business opportunities into JOBS for New Yorkers with disabilities.”
Julisa Morman absolutely exemplifies all of these characteristics… and more! A highly valued member of the eBizDocs team for more than 5 years, Julisa started with us in the role of Document Preparation, where the quality of her work was quickly noted.
“Julisa has been an outstanding employee and exemplifies hard work and determination. I am truly honored by the fact that she is so committed to contributing to the success of eBizDocs.”
Director of Operations, eBizDocs
Julisa soon become one of our best “Doc Prep” specialists, and consistently challenged herself to learn more and to improve her skills. She was quickly placed on our Short Turn Around Team to work on projects with tight timelines. This small but dedicated group of employees must meet a set of very high performance expectations, demanding speed, accuracy, and careful attention to detail. In her quest to improve her skills, she became proficient in all areas of production, including scanning and quality assurance (QA). As a result, Julisa has consistently produced some of the highest quality work we have ever seen here at eBizDocs. In fact, our QA team actually “fights” to check her work as she consistently turns out 100% error-free images!
A natural leader who definitely leads by example, Julisa has been named as our Employee of the Month no less than 3 times in one year. She is an excellent role model, setting an example for others in attendance, attitude, and team interactions as well as a commitment to quality that the rest of our team strives to meet.
“I love being surrounded by positive people. I enjoy the independence, along with the responsibility that my job brings. I also enjoy being challenged and learning new things,” said Julisa.
On her down time, Julisa enjoys playing video games, but always finds time to be a mentor and babysit her nieces and nephews. She still lives at home and actively contributes to the family income.
