Albany, NY: eBizDocs is proud to have been selected by the Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Council to receive the 2013 Nonprofit Business For-Profit Corporate Partner Award. This award recognizes eBizDocs’ visionary leadership in improving the community through collaboration and support of nonprofit organizations.
The Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Council, a joint initiative supported by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber and The Chamber of Schenectady County, has selected five recipients for the 2013 Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Awards. The Council provides a forum for nonprofit, member businesses to learn from and support each other; to address common issues and opportunities; to develop a unified voice for public and political relations; and to educate Chamber members and the public regarding nonprofits.
The awards recognize successful nonprofit organizations and outstanding community-minded individuals for positive contributions to the vitality of the region’s community. eBizDocs is recognized as a for-profit business that has successfully built partnerships with the nonprofit sector and has contributed significantly to the quality of life in the Tech Valley community through professional and civic activities or involvement.
Nominations for this award were solicited by the Council from within the nonprofit community. “We are honored to have been nominated for this award by several of the nonprofit organizations that we have had the pleasure of working with for years,” says Howard Gross, president of eBizDocs. “It is a privilege to support all of the work that these organizations do, and to work with all of the individuals that come to us through their many programs.”
By emphasizing abilities and skills, eBizDocs provides a supportive work environment for people from a diverse background. This includes individuals working through the Center for Disabilities Employment Opportunities Program and veterans that have been placed at eBizDocs through a variety of veterans service organizations, including the Albany Housing Coalition.
“Over 56% of our production staff is made up of individuals that are traditionally underemployed, both within the Capital District and the nation. Our company’s success is built on the dedication and commitment to excellence that all of our team members bring to the table. You see, when you give someone a chance, treat them with the same respect that you would offer any employee, and provide them with the right support to do their jobs well, you will be amazed, and humbled, by what you get in return.”
Awardees will be honored during the 2013 Tech Valley Nonprofit Business Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 22 at 11:30 at the Desmond Hotel & Conference Center, 660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany. Reservations can be made by visiting www.acchamber.org or by calling 518.431.1400.
